Calmabody is our yoga, pilates, health, mindfulness and wellness program located at the Calmababy Studio in Peterborough. We offer a serene, relaxed and inclusive space so you can explore the multitude of benefits that yoga, pilates, meditation, breathwork, mindfulness and wellness classes provide. Choose from the following Calmabody classes:
Body Conditioning
Body conditioning concentrates on whole-body movement, incorporating warm-up stretches and resistance work. Please bring your own hand weights and resistance bands to class if required. We designed this class to help strengthen muscles, including the core, for an overall full-body workout. Suitable for all abilities.
Core Fusion
Whether you’re looking to sculpt a strong, resilient core or find balance and serenity in your practice, Core Fusion offers something for everyone. Join us on the mat and discover the power of integrating core strength with mindful movement. Your journey to a stronger, more vibrant you starts here!
Fitness Pilates
Fitness Pilates promotes a strong core by maintaining stabilisation of the core muscles whilst being challenged by movement of the limbs. This class helps increase flexibility, strengthen the spine, target new core muscles and improve posture and strength throughout the body. Suitable for all abilities.
Fitness Yoga
We crafted this class to build strength and improve endurance by combining dynamic movements. Fitness Yoga is a unique blend of traditional yoga postures & strength training. This innovative approach aims to elevate your heart rate, sculpt your muscles, and increase flexibility. Suitable for Intermediate abilities.
Hatha Flow
Hatha Flow links yoga poses into flow-based practices that challenge your strength and flexibility while at the same time focusing on relaxation and mindfulness. This class helps you find the space between poses while retaining the gentle rhythm of a flow yoga class. Suitable for all abilities.
Hatha Yoga
A gentle and holistic approach to yoga that focuses on aligning the body, mind, and breath. This class introduces fundamental postures and breathing techniques. Hatha Yoga will develop a solid foundation while cultivating mindfulness, flexibility, and strength. Perfect for Beginners through to Intermediate abilities.
Meditation
Regular meditation helps you stay connected with your emotional & physical well-being and gain inner peace. You will learn to preserve your thoughts and be more mindful and present using breathwork techniques. Suitable for all abilities.
Power of Breath
This class helps individuals experience the natural power of their breath, one of the easiest parts of our automatic system. You will discover new ways to control and navigate the energy from your breath and enhance your overall well-being, boosting energy, relieving stress and improving motivation. Suitable for all abilities.
Stretch/Mobility
Improve your flexibility and mobility through gentle stretching exercises. This class includes static stretches and dynamic stretches, which aid mobility. Stretching can improve and lengthen your muscles. Mobility exercises will increase the range of motion in your joints. When combined, these practices contribute to your day-to-day well-being. Suitable for all abilities.
Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa is the opposite of Hatha, focussing on combining poses into a flowing sequence. Immerse yourself in a seamless flow of postures that promote balance and alignment. Vinyasa Flow enhances flexibility, builds core strength, and encourages peaceful awareness. Suitable for all abilities.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga helps you unwind and release tension with gentle postures and deep relaxation techniques. Tailored to soothe the nervous system, this class encourages a profound sense of calm, peacefulness and rejuvenation. Suitable for all abilities.
