What is the Coffee, Cake & Coping workshop?
Is it time to take the ‘should’ out of parenting? How often do you get asked about your baby’s sleep, or whether they are a ‘well-behaving baby’? Do people pass an opinion on what you ‘should’ be doing with your baby? Are you doing too much?
Stress, before or after pregnancy, is something we completely believe you can do without. Our Coffee, Cake & Coping baby groups provide you both with answers to your questions, and a space to get your tensions out into the air in a healthy and supported way.
Our fabulous postnatal team has developed a dedicated workshop, created especially for postnatal mothers. It is designed to offer you space to slow down, plus a little support for life with your new baby. The workshop includes baby massage, relaxed walks and holds, breastfeeding support, settling and calming techniques, some gentle yoga stretches and pelvic floor exercises. You are also provided information and time for talking and sharing experiences and ideas with like-minded people.
Most of all, it is an honest – and often humorous – look at the reality, expectations, confusion, emotions, and joys of being a modern-day mum. With simple, usable hints and tips that could support your parenting style.
We’ve called it Coffee, Cake & Coping because we know that cake is an entire food group when you are postnatal. Often, ‘Coping’ is what we feel like we are doing in the early weeks with a new baby.
Oh, and there’s cake…did we mention the cake?!
